WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY
As early as 1993, when the Kyoto Protocol was not yet on everyone's lips and the strict Austrian environmental laws were not up to date, Trodat took measures for better energy use.
In the entire value-added process, Trodat pays great attention to the efficient use of energy and the careful use of raw materials. In addition, Trodat stamps are characterized by a particularly long service life and therefore need to be replaced less often.
USE OF CLEAN RAW MATERIALS
- All raw materials are subject to the RoHS directive (Restriction of Hazardous Substances)
- Complete absence of substances such as zinc, cadmium, lead and PVC
- A quality, environmental, energy and safety management system certified by TÜV-Austria ensures permanent monitoring of the raw materials
- Permanent supplier screening as part of the certified management systems
ECONOMICAL USE OF ENERGY
- Heat recovery from production for building heating
- Cooling of the injection molding machines with outside air
- 100% green electricity
- Economical use of energy and raw materials
- Reduction of waste
- Reuse of valuable materials
RESPONSIBLE PRODUCTION & RECYCLING PROCESS
- Approximately 80% of all production waste is recycled
- 100% recycling of mechanically unstressed parts
- The entire production is completely free of waste water

FOCUS ON CO2 REDUCTION
- For us, holistic climate protection is based on three pillars: avoiding, reducing and offsetting CO2.
- 1000 tons of savings in CO2 emissions purely by reducing fossil fuels, natural gas and electricity since mid-2001
- 250 tons of additional savings in CO2 by switching from heating oil to natural gas.

Blue Angel
- As the first stamp manufacturer we were awarded the "Blue Angel" ecolabel, which is well known and important in Europe, in mid-October for the original Trodat Printy 4.0 models 4910, 4911, 4912, 4913, 4914 and 4915 (eco-black and eco-grey with black ink cartridge)!
- The Blue Angel is an environmental label awarded in Germany since 1978 for particularly environmentally friendly products and services.
- The strict criteria for the award are set by the German Federal Environment Agency.
AUSTRIAN ECO-LABEL
The Austrian Ecolabel is an internationally recognised environmental seal of quality and is awarded to particularly environmentally-friendly products.
Certification takes place after rigorous testing of the entire life cycle of a product, from the extraction of the raw materials to disposal of the final product, and confirms the highest ecological, health and quality standards.
This applies to product lines including: Trodat Professional, Trodat Printy, Trodat replacement ink cartridges, Trodat ink hand stamp pads and Trodat stamp inks.
